Before I start this, let me just say how hurt I am, I’m hurt at what has happened and even more hurt to know that these injustices I’ve been talking about are only getting worse!

Recently I posted about the Eric Garner’s murder and before the post could even really be discussed – ANOTHER murder occurred. This time, the victim was a young adult. The first thing that came into my mind was Trayvon Martin. There are many differences with the cases but a link to the chain is found in this…. It is when an individual who believes they have the superiority over someone that when met with non-compliance- they feel threatened enough to KILL THEM. And feel JUSTIFIED!

I want that to marinate.

Let me repeat this.

The main aspect of the murders between Mr. Garner, Mr. Martin, Mr. Brown and MANY other black men who have been executed HAVE A COMPONENT IN WHICH THE AGGRESSOR BELIEVES WHEN FACING AN INDIVIDUAL WHO DOES NOT COMPLY…HE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO TAKE THEIR LIFE FOR A JUSTIFIABLE CAUSE!

I’ve been off mainstream media with this case and have depending on the eyes and ears of small time news firms located at the scene, videos of the occurrences that are transpiring from citizens in the community and witness accounts.

I’ve learned that last night, the media was informed that they would not allowed to enter certain parts of Ferguson (if you’re looking for that source contact me, I have a news center’s tweet which states that they were told they were no longer able to enter certain parts)Why?

That is a rhetorical question.

I also watched videos of stand-offs between the police and the protestors. I’ve observed body language and watched the protesters throw their hands in the air as what was told Mike Brown did before he was executed and I saw police officers raise their guns into the faces of these individuals.

And don’t get me wrong- I am disappointed by the looters BUT what the media does not show are the Black fraternities and sororities as well as community citizens who have begun a cleanup effort. I have YET to see this on media outlets!

I’ve already told you previously that the way to get away with murder is to dehumanize the victim. In Brown’s case – he has been labeled as a criminal. The police chief has stated that Mr. Brown pushed the police officer back into the car when he was trying to exit and then continued to try and take the officer’s gun. They’ve stated in bold terms that he was NOT the victim.

Yet, according to Brown’s friend testimony as well as several witnesses, the two individuals were jaywalking and the police officer asked them to get onto the sidewalk. Followed by the two not complying, the police officer cut the two men off and blocked off the road. His car was close enough to them that when he tried to open up his door, it hit the two young men and immediately closed back. The police officer thought the men did the closing and he attempted to pull Mr. Brown into the car via window. That is when the police officer pulled out his gun and stated he was going to shoot. He shot once and the men ran (he shot Brown, Brown then put his hands up to state he was not armed). The police officer then got out the car, shot Brown and stood over him and emptied his clip.

My parents taught my young brother to never make any sudden moves when dealing with the cops.

They taught my brother the best thing he could do was put his hands up.

TO PUT HIS HANDS UP!

To surrender.

To comply.

Now that lesson has no meaning.

What do you tell your son when the lesson you taught him, no longer gives him a 50/50 chance?
